Learn More About Lemco Hydraulics

Founded in Hill City, Minnesota, in 1967, Lemco Hydraulics began as a supplier of rugged, truck-mounted loaders for the forestry industry. They later took their designs to the municipality and construction markets as well. Besides knuckle boom loaders, Lemco’s products also include slashers, smaller electric stationary loaders and a wide range of grapples (butt, bypass, waste, etc.).

The company was founded by Dean Christensen, a former salesman in the logging industry, who saw a need for an equipment manufacturer willing to be more responsive to customer needs.

Lemco products are known for their long-wear life, advanced and innovative hydraulic options that function much smoother and have a quicker response time, as opposed to competitive products. What really sets Lemco apart, however, is their ability and willingness to listen to their customers’ needs and preferences. They are willing to adapt their designs to meet these requirements.

In 2018, Lemco was purchased by Tenamec, which also owns and operates Builtrite Handlers and Attachments (Two Harbors, Minnesota) and SAS Forks (Luxemburg, Wisconsin).
